Pendahuluan

Proses ini biasanya sangat menghabiskan waktu, tenaga dan fikiran kita. Karena pada dasarnya setiap manusia menginginkan agar permasalahannya cepat selesai dan tidak terlihat. Namun terkadang kita bisa menyelesaikan dengan baik, tidak sedikit pula yang tidak selesai bahkan terulang kembali.

Seorang yang sudah terbiasa melakukan pemecahan masalah (problem solving) biasanya cenderung memiliki tingkat produktivitas yang tinggi. Mengapa demikian ? Karena pada dasarnya seseorang yang mampu mengenali & menyikapi masalah secara jelas serta memecahkan & menyelesaikannya akan memiliki kepercayaan yang tinggi untuk menghadapi permasalahan yang lebih berat dan kompleks.

Langkah2 operasional di perusahaan seperti memecahkan masalah, mengambil keputusan dan mengantisipasi masalah yang akan timbul, adalah aktivitas utama dari setiap pemimpin, baik itu seorang manajer maupun supervisor. Saat-saat penting akan muncul di saat timbul suatu masalah, dan pertanyaan yang diajukan adalah: "Mengapa hal ini terjadi ?" atau di saat suatu keputusan harus diambil; "Pilihan mana yang terbaik?" atau di saat suatu action plan harus berjalan sesuai dengan rencana dan kita perlu mengetahui bagaimana potensi masalah dapat dicegah.

Hal ini akan berpengaruh terhadap kecepatan menyelesaikan satuan pekerjaan dalam satuan waktu tertentu yang berujung kepada peningkatan produktivitas. Apabila semua individu dalam perusahaan dapat melakukannya dengan baik maka profitabilitas yang tinggi akan diperoleh perusahaan dalam jangka panjang. Melalui worlkshop ini para peserta dilatih untuk mampu mengenali masalah yang dihadapi dan menemukan solusinya untuk selanjutnya dilakukan pengambilan keputusan secara efektif dan efisien.
